What musician or band would you see in concert that’s no longer performing?

Mesa County

Brenda Ruppert - Grand Junction

“Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and the Moody Blues. They were the iconic music of my generation. Oh, and Bob Marley.”

Drew Moore - Grand Junction

“AC/DC because they’re rockin’ Australians. ‘Thunderstruck’ was my favorite song!”

Karen Fischer - Grand Junction

“Eric Clapton. I paid $700 for third-row seats when they performed at the Pepsi Center. A bunch of attorneys in the front row lit up. I asked my friend what that smell was. ‘Pot!’ he answered.”

Tom Motz, MD - Grand Junction

“Neil Diamond, because I saw him once, or big band leader Stan Kenton. Stan was my grandmother’s first cousin and used to visit the house. In fact, my sister took her first steps, literally, toddling over to Uncle Stan.”

Montrose-Delta Counties

Barb and DJ Hladik – Cedaredge

“Since the ’70s, we’ve been big fans of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band but not sure if they’re still performing. We have some great memories of their earlier concerts.”

Dr. Jesus Ochoa - Delta

“It would be an amazing experience to witness a performance by any one of the great classical composers of the 17th and 18th century like Bach, Stravinsky or Beethoven. My favorite composer is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.”

Bill Ball – Montrose

“I teach guitar lessons and am a huge fan of Southern Rock music; it’s a definitive blend of rock and roll, rhythm and blues, jazz, country and gospel. To hear the original Marshall Tucker Band from the early ’70s play ‘Can’t You See’ would bring the house down.”

Mark and Christine Miller – Montrose

“We would be so excited to see and hear Glenn Miller and his Orchestra perform. They were the most popular and successful dance orchestra of the swing era. His music is timeless.”
