Apr 26, 2021 12:05PM ● By Jan Weeks & Siggie Carpenter

What are you looking forward to doing that you haven’t done since COVID?

Mesa County

Shelly Booth, Grand Junction

“I’ll go window shopping and actual shopping without constraints—only when it’s safe. I look forward to living in society without health fears.”

Chris Brewer, Grand Junction

“I’ll take the ‘Mask Required’ sign off the door of my business (Tattered Tartan)! And I’ll go to a movie—any movie.”

David Dennison-Jones, Grand Junction

“I’ll make a date with my wife and we’ll go to a concert or play.”

Don Bell, Grand Junction

“I look forward to meeting book club members face to face again. And I want to host an in-person musical event like we used to have.”

Montrose County

MaryElla English - Montrose

“I’m a 93-year-old native farm gal and pretty tough. But since COVID, I’ve played it very safe. I go out twice a week—once for my ladies’ bowling league and once for groceries. I’m looking forward to getting outside more and visiting friends.”

Harry Kitzmiller - Montrose

“It’s been a year of adjustment. So many people don’t know how to chill out or relax. I’m glad the bars and restaurants are opening up more. I’m looking forward to getting back into my regular routine that makes living easier for me.”

Tim & Christin Hawbaker - Cedaredge

“We’re looking forward to traveling again. We’d prefer to be teleported since travel days always seem long and tedious; we want to get to our destination as quickly as possible so the vacation can start. Meanwhile, we’ll continue to fly.

La Veta England - Montrose

“I’m looking forward to attending festivals. One of my favorites is Burro Days in Fairplay, CO. It’s always held the last weekend in July. It’s a fun weekend for families and a tribute to our history when mining prospectors and pack burros ruled and gold was plenty.”
