Palisade welcomes new museum

Jan 07, 2020 11:23AM ● By Beacon Senior News

Palisade Historical Society announced it will open a new and permanent Palisade Historical Museum in 2020, to be located in a historic log structure in Palisade. Renovations have begun on the building, gifted by George Bunte Jr., which is located within walking distance of Riverbend Park. When complete, the site will provide the town’s first-ever publicly accessible museum. Substantial donations from private donors, as well as a $15,000 pledge from the Town of Palisade, put the project in a good position to continue fundraising as visible improvements to the facility began. The historical society has been looking for a home to secure Palisade’s interesting history since January 2017.
