Your guide to aging well in Mesa County

Happy Holidays from the BEACON! As a gift from us to you, we’ve created the 2019 BEACON Guide, our annual publication designed to help you age well in Mesa County.
The BEACON Guide—a trusted resource directory for area seniors, their families and those who assist them—has only gotten bigger and better. In addition to hundreds of local, state and national resources and hard-to-find phone numbers, it also features informative articles to help you with the transitions that you or a loved one may be going through.
From finding leisure activities to planning your retirement, from home health care to moving to an assisted living facility, The BEACON Guide will help you navigate the continuum of care. The guide also includes listings for clubs, genealogy resources, veterinarians and pet shelters, support groups, volunteer opportunities and more.
As our community grows, so does the guide. Many listings are added each year. We’ve taken great care to make sure that every listing is accurate and up to date. Every listed phone number is called and personally verified year after year.
Though geared towards seniors, many households keep The BEACON Guide on hand throughout the year.
Search resources online
We’ve launched a digital version of The BEACON Guide that’s more robust than ever.
Visit www.BeaconSeniorNews.com to explore a virtual format of The BEACON Guide that can be turned page by page with a click of the mouse. You can also search for listings using keywords.
Monthly highlights
Every month, the BEACON Senior Newspaper highlights a local club or organization listed in The BEACON Guide. It’s a great way for readers to become more familiar with organizations in the community. (This month, The BEACON Guide is what we are highlighting.)
