Due to dry conditions, the Montrose City Council has decided to ban the use and sale of fireworks. The ban is temporary and takes effect immediately. The City hopes to move forward with the public Fourth of July fireworks display at sunset. Whether the show continues depends on the approval from the fire district the day of the event.
