I grew up in a small Colorado mountain town doing a lot of activities that abused my body. I fell out of trees, played traumatic sports and snow-skied recklessly. As I got older, I worked on a ranch in the summers, on the Rio Grande Railroad and in heavy construction. At the time, I didn’t understand the damage I was doing to my spine and joints.
